Dengue Fever: Prevention, Symptoms & Treatment
Dengue is a mosquito-borne viral disease spread by the Aedes mosquito, often reaching epidemic levels during monsoon.

Symptoms:
- Sudden high fever (102–104°F)
- Severe pain behind the eyes and in the body
- Red rash on the skin
- Nausea

Danger signs (go to hospital immediately):
- Severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting
- Bleeding from gums or nose
- Reduced urination, extreme weakness

Treatment:
Only paracetamol should be taken for dengue; aspirin and ibuprofen are strictly prohibited. Drink plenty of fluids and monitor platelets with a daily CBC test.

Prevention:
Remove stagnant water around your home and use mosquito nets day and night.
